PROSPECTS OF SOFTWARE ENGINEERING IN UKRAINE

Nowadays, most developed countries are investing a lot of resources in the IT sphere, because they understand that this is the future - a new level of human life. Many IT innovations not only make life easier, but in general make complex procedures and long processes much easier and, as a result, many associated problems simply dissolve.

Ukraine, as a developing country, also caught and clearly set its course for growth in software engineering. Many Ukrainian applications and software for other programs are released; Ukrainian developers are among the most in-demand in the European and American labor markets. All this and much more is a strong impetus for the entire country in the IT sphere.

In this article, we will discuss the most interesting details of the IT industry in Ukraine, as well as define and more clearly study the software development market in Ukraine. Let's imagine that in the 50s and 60s in the United States, state policy did not encourage automobile production, but rather tried to fight it with prohibitive norms and laws. Ukrainian developers are very satisfied with the state policy towards IT. Many were amazed, but in the conditions of war, as of November 2022, the IT sphere in Ukraine has grown by 13 percent.

Indeed, even in such a difficult time for Ukraine, the government does not forget to help future IT specialists, because there is already an announcement of a program called “Start in IT”. This program helps people who want to learn IT with completely free courses, after which a person can start their career as a developer. According to preliminary estimates, the program should bring at least sixty thousand new programmers to the industry. And such a program is not fiction or some kind of false promise, because the trial course has already started and recruited the first 1000 applicants.

Based on the above facts, it becomes clear that Ukraine does a lot for IT and invests a lot of resources in its development. And now it’s worth moving on to the next section and understanding why it is worth hiring Ukrainian software engineers. 

As you remember, in the last section we touched upon such a concept as the price of work in Ukraine, and here we can mention not only salaries. The fact is that Ukraine, in comparison with the countries of Europe and the USA, has low prices for renting or buying real estate, food, travel, and so on. This is a huge plus when renting an office for permanent work.

Also, given that the IT sphere, although it has a mathematical component, there is always a place for creativity in it. That is why we could not fail to mention the huge number of attractions, parks, and green spaces throughout Ukraine. At the moment, Ukraine is going through hard times due to a full-scale war. This terrible time greatly slowed down many businesses and, in general, the development of the state, but, one way or another, a lot of foreign businessmen support Ukraine and open their branches here.
