Senior Software Engineer (C++)

About the Role

• Join the company and help power a leading Media Asset Management and broadcast automation platform used by major broadcasters worldwide.

• Develop and maintain critical backend and desktop application components supporting 24/7 media operations.

• Work within an Agile Scrum team to design, build, troubleshoot, and modernize large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-performance C++ services and desktop applications.

• Investigate and resolve crashes, race conditions, deadlocks, memory leaks, and UI defects.

• Enhance communication layers using gRPC, messaging technologies, and network protocols.

• Optimize SQL Server performance and scalability.

• Perform code reviews and mentor team members.

Agile Teamwork

• Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and development teams.

• Contribute to continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional C++ development experience on Windows.

• Strong experience with C++ desktop application development, including MFC and Document/View Architecture (must-have).

• Proven ability to investigate and resolve complex UI-related issues.

• Strong expertise in multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.

• Advanced debugging skills using Visual Studio, WinDbg, and ProcDump.

• Experience with networking, IPC, and distributed systems.

• Solid SQL and database optimization skills.

• Working knowledge of Java, including Maven and Gradle.

• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Chromium-based technologies and modern web applications.

• Broadcast, media streaming, or MAM platform experience.

• Experience integrating C++ with Java or microservices architectures.

• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
