Senior Technical Project Manager
We are looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager to join a large-scale software development project involving the development of APIs and intelligent software agents.
The project focuses on building a next-generation B2B platform, initially in the healthcare domain, involving scientific computing, API development, and AI agents. It's a greenfield initiative with a long-term roadmap.
As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day coordination and delivery of the project. This role requires someone who is comfortable working in a highly technical environment and can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Location: Remote, with occasional travel for workshops/meetings.
Key Responsibilities:

Take ownership of project planning, coordination and delivery

To be able to clarify requirements, priorities, dependencies and expectations.

Translate high-level requirements and technical documentation into actionable work for the engineering team.

Plan and coordinate the initial pilot and subsequent project phases.

Coordinate a distributed engineering team and support the gradual scaling of the team as project needs increase.

Track project progress, milestones, workload, risks, dependencies and delivery timelines.

Facilitate communication between the client, developers, technical leads and other stakeholders.

Identify potential delivery risks and proactively work on mitigation plans.

Ensure that technical and functional questions are properly followed up and resolved.

Organize and facilitate project meetings, planning sessions, status updates and retrospectives where appropriate.

Maintain clear project documentation, status reports and delivery plans.

Support resource planning and help determine when additional technical resources are required.

Work closely with technical leads to ensure that the team has the information and direction required to deliver successfully.

Ensure that the project remains aligned with the agreed scope, priorities and delivery deadlines.

Support the transition from the initial pilot into a larger-scale development operation.
Requirements:

7+ years of experience in Technical Project Management / Software Delivery Management.

Strong background managing software development projects, preferably involving complex technical environments.

Solid technical understanding of software development and modern engineering practices.

Experience working with C++ and/or other lower-level/backend technologies is highly desirable.

Experience working with distributed or international engineering teams.

Strong experience with project planning, estimation, resource planning and delivery tracking.

Experience working directly with clients and senior technical stakeholders.

Ability to understand technical documentation and translate requirements into actionable development work.

Strong risk, dependency and issue management skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Ability to work independently, take ownership and operate effectively in an evolving project environment.
Nice to Have

Experience with Fortran, Julia or C++.

Experience with AI/ML, LLMs or software-agent development.

Experience in Healthcare, scientific computing, engineering, fintech or other technically complex domains.

Experience scaling software development teams from a small pilot into a larger delivery organization.

Previous experience working with a Product Owner/client who is closely involved in the technical direction.
