Embedded Software Engineer

Role Description:
You will take part in design, development and maintenance of embedded software solutions for our client`s Aerospace product range consisting of UAVs, in-house design imaging systems and radio communication equipment.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Riga, Latvia.
Responsibilities:

Embedded firmware development for Linux-based SoC and microcontrollers.

Linux kernel driver development.
-
Bring-up and implementation of new sensor ICs.

Support for existing applications and firmware maintenance.
Required skills:
-
C language, bash scripts, make and other common embedded languages.

8/32bit microcontrollers (ARM, AVR, Microchip, etc.).

Knowledge of basic microcontrollers communication protocols: I2C, SPI, USB, CAN.

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
Would be considered as advantage:

Experience with OpenWrt - kernel and application sides.

Practical experience in high frequency device development (amplifiers, mixers, receivers, etc.).

Deeper understanding of IEEE 802.11 and experience with other communication protocols.

Electronic device development: schematics, PCB routing, etc.

Understanding of radio frequency device specifics.
