Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to support the RF system design, development, and validation for (UAV) platforms. Will be responsible for contribution across the full product lifecycle, from concept and simulation through integration, testing, and documentation.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Riga, Latvia.
Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and support RF subsystems for new UAV products and hardware platforms.

Validate RF link performance, quality, and reliability.

Prepare and use diagnostic tools and equipment for testing and tuning RF networks.

Collaborate with firmware and embedded software teams to support RF-related features and performance optimization.

Prepare manuals, application notes, and support documentation.
Required skills:
-
MS in Engineering, specializing in Radio Frequency, Radio Techniques, Radio Physics, Electronics, or Telecommunications.

Experience with wireless networking, antennas, RF front-end design, and system-level RF integration.

Strong understanding of RF fundamentals (S-parameters, noise figure, phase noise, IP3, EVM).

Experience using RF test equipment.

Experience in Electromagnetic Simulation Software for the design and optimization of proposed solutions.

Ability to read and review schematics, layouts, and RF BOMs.

Upper-Intermediate level of English.

Willingness to relocate to Riga, Latvia and work full-time from the office (hybrid may be possible after the probation period).

Ability to pass a government security clearance, which is mandatory for all final candidates.

Eligibility to work in Europe is highly preferred (e.g., EU citizenship or a valid work permit/Blue Card). The company can sponsor work authorization for Ukrainian citizens.

Understanding and acceptance of the defense-related environment.

Interest in long-term relocation rather than short-term contract work.
Would be considered as advantage:

5+ years of RF engineering experience
-
Knowledge of relevant communication standards (e.g., IEEE 802.11s, IEEE 802.11n/ac/ax, or related protocols).

Familiarity with regulatory compliance and certification processes for RF systems (e.g., CE, FCC, ETSI).

Experience in RF PCB design (Altium).
-
Practical experience in high frequency device development (amplifiers, mixers, receivers, etc.) will be considered as a strong advantage and highly appreciated.

Wideband RF system design.

Design of discrete RF components (couplers, filters, matching networks, power dividers) is considered a strong plus.
