Senior SAP Basis Consultant

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Basis Consultant to join a large-scale enterprise environment and support complex SAP landscapes. The role focuses on the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of SAP systems, including SAP HANA, ECC, and S/4HANA environments, while supporting cloud and SAP BTP initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong SAP Basis expertise, hands-on experience with SAP HANA and S/4HANA, and a solid understanding of SAP architecture, performance optimization, security, and cloud-based SAP technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrading of SAP systems, including SAP HANA, ECC, and S/4HANA, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance requirements.
• Monitor system performance and proactively optimize SAP applications and databases to ensure optimal resource utilization and reliability.
• Conduct regular system maintenance activities, including backups, patching, and system refreshes, to maintain system integrity and availability.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex SAP Basis issues, coordinating with various stakeholders to resolve incidents and minimize downtime.
• Develop and document system procedures, operational guidelines, and best practices to enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SAP project implementations, enhancements, and integrations with other systems.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration, with a strong focus on SAP HANA and S/4HANA environments.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP architecture and components, including transport management, client administration, and performance tuning.
• Experience managing SAP systems on Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
• Solid experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), including: SAP Workzone, SAP Integration Suite, SAP IPS, SAP Cloud Identity ServicesPreferred Qualifications, SAP certification(s), such as SAP Certified Technology Associate.
• Experience working with cloud-based SAP environments (AWS, Azure, or similar platforms).
• Strong understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies.
• Familiarity with SAP BusinessObjects (BO) and Data Services.
• Experience with Linux administration and Linux clustering technologies.
• Experience working with SAP Solution Manager for monitoring and managing SAP landscapes.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and database technologies such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools, including SAP EarlyWatch and third-party monitoring solutions.
• Knowledge of SAP security best practices, including user administration and role-based access control.
• Experience supporting large and complex SAP landscapes in enterprise environments.
• Upper intermediate English level
