Our client is a fast-growing fintech company based in Sydney, Australia, that is transforming the financial services landscape through the use of blockchain technologies. Their team is dynamic, forward-thinking, and committed to delivering next-generation financial solutions in a secure and user-friendly way.

Requirements:

Strong experience with exploratory and backend testing (ability to spot calculation errors, status inconsistencies, rounding issues, missing flows, etc.).
Familiarity with fintech, banking, or crypto environments.
Experience with mobile app testing (React Native: Android, iOS).
DB testing experience (SQL).
Comfortable analysing backend behaviour using logs, APIs, or basic SQL (we use Datadog Logs & RUM, PostgreSQL, Swagger, REST Assured).
Ability to work independently and think like an end user (e.g., spot UX issues early).
Experience with refining Jira tickets before development starts. (e.g., spot missed flows/error handling; adding AC if missed)
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail, especially in system and integration testing.
Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Qase test management tools.
Familiarity with Playwright, Appium, REST Assured tools is a bonus (or willingness to learn).
At least Upper-Intermediate English level.

Responsibilities:

Perform backend and exploratory testing of new and existing features across web and mobile platforms.
Be a part of the shift-left approach, where testing starts before the development part (reviewing Figma designs, refining business requirements in Jira tickets and so on).
Proactively uncover edge cases, inconsistencies, and regressions, demonstrating strong pattern-recognition skills.
Document findings clearly and work with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
Validate data flows and backend processing by checking logs, APIs, and databases.
Proactively investigate issues using our monitoring tools.
Participate in daily stand-ups and collaborate closely with developers and the product team.
