Charging Team Lead

We are looking for an experienced Charging Team Lead for our client, a global mobile communications technology provider delivering connectivity solutions to enterprises and consumers worldwide. 

The company operates its own mobile core network and proprietary eSIM technology, serving millions of customers and devices across international markets.

In this role, you will combine hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, taking ownership of online and offline charging systems, real-time rating, mediation, and billing integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, managing priorities, delivery plans, and technical development.

• Own the technical direction and architecture of online and offline charging solutions.

• Ensure accurate real-time rating and charging, as well as reliable offline charging and mediation processes.

• Design and maintain integrations between charging platforms, mediation, billing, CRM/BSS, and telecom network systems.

• Work with Diameter-based integrations, charging flows, system configurations, and event-level troubleshooting.

• Drive code reviews, design reviews, automated testing, CI/CD practices, and software quality standards.

• Ensure platform scalability, performance, observability, and production stability.

• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.

• Collaborate with Product, IT, Finance, Operations, and Billing teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Participate in recruitment and promote continuous learning and engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in technical leadership and people management within an engineering team.

• Strong hands-on expertise in telecom charging systems, including online charging, real-time rating, offline charging, and mediation.

• Solid understanding of the Diameter protocol, telecom network integrations, charging flows, and rating scenarios.

• Experience with telecom or subscription-based billing systems and integrations

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.

• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Optiva or Oracle charging products.
