Every successful business starts not so much with the idea itself as with people who create ideas. That was the case with Dmitry Sandratsky, the founder of Damka Systems. A computer networking professional from Israel, Dmitry had years-long experience in providing B2B services in the restaurant business and made up his mind to revolutionize the practice of how visitors of food courts and restaurants place orders through the customer interface and user panels. Dmitry wanted to create a brand-new ecosystem for the interaction between end customers and the owners of the restaurant business in Israel, intending to enter the international market.

Go Interactive was Damka’s first choice as a full-service software development Tech partner and we hope our cooperation, which started in April 2023, has made credible results. The idea was to work in close cooperation from Day one with Dmitry as a Product owner on the one side and a dedicated software development team on Go Interactive’s side. At different stages, the team here in Ukraine included: a) a Senior+ Back-end Java developer; b) a Senior+ Front-end React developer; c) a Junior+ Front-end React programmer; d) a Senior UI/UX designer; e) An experienced Project Manager. The technologies implemented: Java for the Back-end and React JavaScript library for the Front-end. We usually arrange two online meetings with Damka weekly to coordinate the development process.

What has been done:

The points of sales system

The core of this project is a sophisticated administration system, which allows business owners to manage all processes related to the user panels in their restaurants. Being in control of a particular storefront, managing each kiosk or all at once, operating product offerings and menus, prices, and payment, packages, discounts and promotions, food reserves at the warehouse, adding or managing users, and creating reports. The administrator can access the Points-of-Sale System from any location.

We developed a user-friendly interface for the end customers, simplifying the process of purchasing dishes and payment, laying the groundwork for a first-time client to become a loyal visitor (Including purchasing as a ‘club member’). Clients can easily explore food and beverages, read descriptions, alter size, weight, or quantity, choose to eat in or take the order out, and process checkout.

Both systems have already been launched in several restaurants in Israel and we still have much to develop and improve, particularly to extend the project forward into new locations and types of business.
