SAS Viya developer

We are looking for an experienced SAS Viya Developer to join an exciting project for a European client. The role is fully remote and requires flexibility, as the project will be delivered in two phases with an evolving scope.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with SAS Viya (report creation in particular)

• Good understanding of SAS Viya–Databricks integration

• Optional: PySpark knowledge

• Optional but valuable: Experience with SAS Studio Flows (helpful for translating flows into PySpark code in Databricks)

Responsibilities

Phase 1 – Concept Phase:
The client is migrating all data to Databricks while continuing to build reports in SAS Viya.

Start: Flexible (November–December 2025)

Workload: ~40 hours
Tasks:

• Connect SAS Viya to Databricks

• Create a demo report in SAS Viya using data from Databricks

Phase 2 – Execution / Consulting Phase

Start: February 2026
Workload: ~100 hours (final scope to be confirmed by December 2025)
Tasks: 

• Primarily consulting (possible support for production-ready reports)
